Meet Our Principal

Throughout her 41-year career in education, Dr. Koch has taught students in grades from pre-k through college. Whether teaching gifted students, special education students or regular education students, in both private and public schools, Dr. Koch’s commitment to her profession and her students is what drives her. She came out of retirement to launch the Acceptance Academy Community School.

Earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education at California University with interim study at American University, in 1975 she was one of the first teachers to have the experience of teaching high school special education children when she lived in Pittsburgh, PA. Moving to Birmingham, AL, she taught gifted children in 7th grade and earned a Masters in Gifted Students education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Upon arriving in Palm Beach County, she taught gifted and general education in elementary school, middle school, college and as an assistant principal. She earned a Doctorate in Leadership at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Koch’s career in education is unparalleled.
